On Monday, 7 November 2022, the IBDP 1 students together with the students of the 6th grade of our Elementary School, joined forces in an effort to clean up the beach next to S.E.F. at Faliro.
Although the condition of the beach was disappointing, as it was full of plastic, garbage and other materials, our students, with great joy and energy, managed to collect and record in the special forms of HELMEPA, all the garbage.

The purpose of this activity was to raise students' awareness of marine pollution, experiential learning of material categorization and empathy for underwater life.
The students saw with their own eyes what is the result of using plastic and throwing garbage on the beach.
Everyone, younger and older students, worked together for a cleaner beach. Let's try not to remain indifferent towards such issues and, every time we use or throw away plastic and garbage, let's remember the disappointing image of the beach we faced that morning.
