FAQ
How do I get approval?
If you want to get approval on a CAS experience/project you will first need to write a proposal where your advisor will be able to read what you are planning to do. In your proposal you need to include the following:
Title
- Start and End date
- Strands (if Service is selected also indicate type of service)
- Learning outcomes
- Description and goals (which includes project description, goal, explanation of CAS strand, link to DP subjects and core, Personal development and selection of learning outcomes, investigation)
- CAS Stages
Where can I find my portfolio?
Your CAS portfolio is located in our school’s SharePoint. You need to click on it and then click on ‘CAS’ subject. Click on your ‘Class year’ and then click on ‘Individual Folder’ where you will find your folder with your name.
When is my experience/project completed?
You will need to collect evidence and write reflections in order to demonstrate your involvement in this CAS experience. Make sure that you have done the following:
- Reflection(s) on the CAS stages
- Advisor agreement form (uploaded as evidence)
- Advisor review form
- Activity log
- Evidence (photos, videos, voice recordings, links to organization websites, screenshots of email contact, planning documents, meeting notes, certificates etc.)
Your collection of reflections and evidence should show that you have done the experience, how you have done it, with who, and how you have developed the learning outcomes you have selected.
How can I have a meeting with my advisor/coordinator?
You will meet at least ones every month. You can of course meet more frequently with your advisor/coordinator by appointment.
