On Saturday, May 7, 2022, our IBDP 1 CAS students in charge of the project ‘Stray Animals’ took part in a very important action. They had the opportunity to volunteer at the Animal Shelter of Agia Marina in Koropi, offering the animals not only their love and care, but also the amount of 100 euros they had collected for food and supplies.
Part of this action was to be informed by the persons in charge, about the reasons why the number of stray animals is growing, what is the legal framework of each Municipality for their protection and care, to learn about each dog’s sad story about how it ended up in the shelter and to take them for a walk, which was the best moment of the day.
At the end of the action, our students received this valuable knowledge and experience to raise awareness and spread the message ‘Give love by adopting an animal’.
