Last week (2nd-7th March), our Connecting Classrooms Club students in middle school participated in public speaking activities alongside visiting students from St George’s British Georgian School in Tbilisi.
Additionally, sixteen students from the club went on an educational trip to the United Kingdom, where they visited places of historical and cultural interest and explored connections between the Greek and the British culture. They also had the opportunity to meet the Greek ambassador, Mr Tsaousis, in the United Kingdom. The ambassador spoke to our group of students about the role of the embassy in fostering bilateral relations between Greece and the UK, and referred to George Seferis, the Greek Nobel Prize–winning poet who served as Greece’s ambassador to the United Kingdom from 1957 to 1962.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Greek Embassy in London and the Hellenic Library of London for their support and cooperation.
